Journey Into Asia is an annual showcasing of local talent hosted by the Asian Student Association at UNC-CH in celebration of Asian heritage and culture.

Flying Silk is UNC’s only classical Chinese dance group. Ribbon dances date back several centuries to imperial China, when it was performed solely for royalty and high courts. Dancers use long, colorful silk ribbons to depict stories from some of China’s greatest literary works. The movements from the dance are derived from the famous Chinese Opera, “The Monkey King.”
